WAEF Career Tours Help Students Explore Their Futures

This week, WAEF coordinated individualized career exploration events designed to help scholarship recipients and recent graduates explore professional pathways that align with their individual interests and goals. Students visited professionals working in a variety of sectors, including accounting, radio, medicine, marketing, and more, gaining firsthand insight into the skills, education, and opportunities tied to their future ambitions.

Each Career Tour day begins and ends as a group. In the morning, students come together to prepare and discuss how to make the most of the experience and the precious time with volunteers and host companies. After their site visits, the group reconvenes to reflect on what they learned, share new perspectives with one another, and commit to intentional next steps to make the most of the experience.

This event is part of WAEF’s ongoing commitment to student success, helping driven, high-achieving students from tree fruit industry families develop the tools and exposure they need to achieve their educational and early career goals. Each investment in a student’s success strengthens the future of the tree fruit industry and contributes to healthier communities.

Thank you to the many companies that generously opened their doors to WAEF students this year! Your partnership makes these meaningful experiences possible and deepens the connection between students and the industry and communities that surround them.
