Board Spotlight: Drew Belton
As Drew Belton completes his term on the Washington Apple Education Foundation Board of Directors, we are grateful for the leadership, time, and care he has given to WAEF students and the broader community over the past three years.
Drew’s connection to WAEF began after attending a Scholarship Luncheon and seeing firsthand the impact the organization has on students and families. That experience stayed with him and ultimately led him to join the board and become more involved in the foundation’s work.
During his time with WAEF, Drew served on both the Scholarship Committee and the Student Success Committee, helping support students from the application process through graduation and beyond. He especially valued the opportunity to invest in students in a meaningful way and help strengthen opportunities for the next generation.
Drew often spoke about WAEF as more than a scholarship organization. He saw it as a place that helps students build confidence, discover direction, and create opportunities for themselves and their communities through scholarships, mentorship, internships, and career connections.
He also helped introduce new people to WAEF and encouraged others to become involved, believing the foundation’s impact grows when more of the community takes part in supporting students.
Throughout his board service, Drew brought a thoughtful perspective and genuine enthusiasm for WAEF’s future. He shared confidence in the organization’s direction and appreciated the strong collaboration between board and staff leadership as WAEF continues to grow and evolve.
Now serving in his role as Operations Manager with the City of Chelan, Drew continues his commitment to community service. While his board term has concluded, we know his connection to WAEF and its mission will continue.
We are thankful for Drew’s service and the positive impact he has made on WAEF and the students we serve.
Thank you, Drew!
