WAEF Announces 2025 Year of the Apple Art Contest Winners
The Washington Apple Education Foundation is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Year of the Apple Art Contest sponsored by Corteva Agriscience. This year, the contest received forty-five creative submissions from talented high school students across central Washington, representing A.C. Davis, Eastmont, Eisenhower, Hanford, Kamiakin, Kittitas Secondary School, Lind-Ritzville, Manson, Royal, Southridge, Tonasket, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, West Valley Innovation Center, and West Valley high schools.
From colored pencils to acrylic paints, alcohol markers to pastels, the contest saw a wide array of artistic mediums, with students from 9th to 12th grade showcasing their creativity. A panel of judges, composed of representatives from Washington’s tree fruit industry, evaluated each submission based on artistic style and how well the artwork represented Washington’s renowned apples. For 30 years, the Year of the Apple Art Contest has been an exciting platform to celebrate their artistic talents while connecting with the rich agricultural heritage of our region.
