Jennifer Witherbee
Executive Director
Jennifer Witherbee is honored to serve as the Executive Director of WAEF. With over two decades of experience in community engagement and strategic leadership, Jennifer has dedicated her career to making a positive impact. Her journey with WAEF began in 2001, when she joined when the foundation was still in its early years and contributed to its growth for over 20 years. After gaining valuable experience in the professional services industry as the Community & Business Growth Director at Larson Gross, Jennifer returned to WAEF in 2025, driven by her passion for education and community development.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has focused on building strong relationships and fostering a culture of service and collaboration. Jennifer holds an MBA from Washington State University and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Washington. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Eastern Oregon University.
She is married to Jay and is the daughter of Herold & Vicki Peebles. Her family has been involved in the tree fruit industry for multiple generations.
