Jenny Faletto Joins WAEF Board, Rooted in Agriculture and Education

For Jenny Faletto, education and agriculture have been intertwined throughout her life. Growing up in the Yakima Valley, she packed apples as a junior high student to help pay for basketball trips and packed soft fruit in the summers during college while pursuing her education. Today, she serves as Chief Financial Officer at Auvil Fruit, bringing more than two decades of experience in finance, public accounting and agricultural operations to her role and to the Washington Apple Education Foundation board.

Education was always an expectation in Jenny’s home. Although her mother did not have the opportunity to attend college herself, she encouraged Jenny​ to pursue higher education and helped her believe it was within reach. Being a first-generation college graduate is an experience that continues to shape Jenny’s appreciation for the opportunities education can create. Today, she and her husband, who works in public education, are raising their two teenage sons in Chelan.

Jenny was drawn to WAEF through the powerful connection between the tree fruit industry and the students it serves. She has seen firsthand the pride families feel when a student receives a scholarship and understands how educational opportunities can influence not only individual lives, but entire families and communities. That connection resonates deeply with her own story and the values she hopes to pass along to her sons.

As a board member, Jenny is excited to support students while also contributing the financial and operational expertise she has developed throughout her career. For her, serving on the board is an opportunity to invest in the next generation, strengthen the industry she cares about and help create opportunities for students whose futures may be shaped by someone believing in them, just as others once believed in her.
