High School Students Can Win $250-$1000 Cash for their Apple Artwork!

The WAEF Year of the Apple contest, sponsored by Cortiva AgriScience (formerly Dow AgroSciences) awards students and their schools' art classes with cash prizes for their work and submissions!

High school students from the following counties; Adams, Benton, Chelan, Douglas, Franklin, Grant, Kittitas, Okanogan, Walla Walla and Yakima can submit artwork to our Year of the Apple contest until May 1st!

The grand prize winner receives $1,000 and has their artwork displayed on calendars across fruit industry offices throughout Washington. Second and third place entries receive $500, and $200 for their winning artwork. Winning students art classes receive amazon gift cards for art supplies!

The rules are simple: MUST contain WASHINGTON apples! Wormy fruit, ads and slogans will not result in winning artwork. Artwork must be in the original form and no smaller than letter sized (8.5x11) and no larger than tabloid sized (11x17).
