My name is Nancy Leyva. I am from Manson, WA.
After High School, I attended Wenatchee Valley College and received my AA Degree in Business. Then, I transferred to Central Washington to pursue a degree in Accounting. I graduated last year with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting. This year, on June 2016, I will be graduating from Central Washington University with a Master of Professional Accountancy. My goals are to pass the Certified Fraud Examination (CFE) Exam during Spring Quarter. During the summer I plan to study for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Exam. I aspire to become a CPA within the next year. I am fortunate to have received a job offer from one of the best accounting firms in our area. I will begin working for CliftonLarsenAllen in September of 2016. I will be working in their Quincy Office.
I would like to thank everyone who makes WAEF possible. There are no words to express what this assistance means to me. I am the first one in my family to graduate from college. WAEF helped me accomplish my dreams and goals. The scholarship eased some of the financial burden on my shoulders and allowed me to focus more on my education. I also would like to thank Jennifer Witherbee for all her support and for always keeping in touch with me. WAEF employees are the best! I am blessed to live in a place where so many people care about the future of students who need financial help to achieve their dreams!
